Aqua Plus Heat Pump FAQs
Yes, hot water heat pumps can be paired with solar panels to further reduce energy costs and increase efficiency.
Installation involves placing the heat pump unit outside or in a suitable location, connecting it to the water supply, and setting up the electrical connections.
Typically, a hot water heat pump can last between 10 to 15 years with proper maintenance.
Hot water heat pumps are energy-efficient, reducing electricity bills. They also have lower carbon emissions compared to traditional electric water heaters and can qualify for government incentives.
It works by extracting heat from the environment (air or ground), compressing it to increase its temperature, and then transferring that heat to water in a storage tank.
A hot water heat pump is an energy-efficient system that uses electricity to transfer heat from the air to heat water.

R290 refrigerant gas is far more efficient and environmentally friendly than previously used refrigerants in heat pumps and can produce hotter water temperatures.
An example is that the Global Warming Potential (GWP) index for R290 is 3, where R32 is 657. It can also produce hot water to 75C making it ideal for Domestic Hot Water (DHW) production.
